Welcome to Virginia AAU Football

What a day it is to be E2E!! Welcome family to the revival of AAU Football in the state of Virginia! I am Michael Robinson, the Executive Director of Excel To Excellence Youth Football Foundation and the Virginia Director of AAU Football, and I am honored to be a part of such a great tradition and family with Amateur Athletic Union (AAU)! Most of you have heard of E2E in the youth football world as we have been on a mission to unite Virginia under one football umbrella. We try to offer the best experiences to our young athlete because we at E2E understand that it is those experiences that the young person will remember forever as well as finding the skills for sustainable success in the life through the game of football. That is and will always be the goal here at E2E.

Why AAU?

Before the Covid 19 pandemic, we participated in the Snoop Youth Football National Championships in Los Angeles, California where we took 200 kids from the central region area to California to participate. In 2018, we won one game throughout all of our age groups and in 2019, we improved where each age group (8, 10, 12, 14) all had at least one victory. What we saw in California was not a difference of ability between the kids but a HUGE difference in coaching. That is where the adults in youth football around the central region are failing the kids, but that is another blog post coming soon. We chose AAU because they have some of the same values that we have at E2E, development of the young athlete above all else while keeping the price low on parents and organizations was key. We also both believe in a kid playing multiple sports, which research shows makes for a better, well rounded young athlete. I say all the time that Russell Wilson would not be as great as he is today without playing the game of baseball. JJ Watt wouldn't be whom he is if it wasn't for playing basketball and playing TE. Last but not least is the fact that AAU has 2 nationals, one in the fall and one in the spring. We first started as just a spring youth football league. Now we have grown into a league that operates a full fall season as well as a full spring season. AAU gives us an opportunity to go to a national after the fall season AND a national after our spring season. Again, searching out those unique opportunities to show our young athletes something different is paramount!

WE ARE STILL E2E

As we have integrated all of the AAU rules and gameplay into our rulebooks and operations, DO NOT expect anything to change with regard to how game days function and how we operate. We still have a non-biased board filled with volunteers that are not attached to any other organization than E2E so that when we make decisions, you can rest assured, those decisions were made in the best interest of the young athlete, not the personal agendas of adults (which is another blog post coming soon!).

WE WILL UNITE VIRGINIA

CONTINUE TO WATCH US WORK

WHAT A DAY IT IS TO BE....E2E! COME BE A PART OF THE FAMILY!

Peace,

Real Mike Rob
